I bought my Leisure 17 in November 2016. What I liked about it, that it was big enough for 4 people and it was built for the sea. Eventually I wanted to sail her on the sea so this was a big plus. It cost me 890000 HUF.
It is a wide little sailboat so very stable and safe. This is important, as I wanted to take my family with me.
The previous owner gave a trailer with it, but without any license of registration. It is expensive to registrate the trailer, because it doesn't have any documentation and one has to be made beforehand with an engineer. I got fined by the police 👮 on the very first day for not having a license plate while I was towing it from Balatonboglár to Fonyód.

She has the original set of sails plus it has a roller furling genoa and jib. I got her with a two stroke 4 HP outboard motor. She had thin wood flooring which looked nice, but had already showed some signs of wear.
I have the double-keel version of Leisure 17 KK.
Its hull is made of fiber glass and its keel is cast iron.
Her name (Capricorn)
She had a name when I bought her and I didn't change it. Capricorn is a nice name it can be interpreted as the Zodiac sign ♑, Fish–goat Hybrid (Mountain-Sea Goat), or one of the latitudes: Tropic of Capricorn.
Zodiac Capricorn
Capricorn's especially girls are confident but not egotistical, very attractive and have very slender nice bodies. This can make them seem intimidating but once you get to know them they are actually quite sweet. They don't dwell on their appearance or really think of themselves as hot, they are actually pretty modest and don't usually like a lot of attention.
Geographic Capricorn
This is the circle of latitude that contains the subsolar point in December (around December 21) where the Sun can be seen directly overhead (Lahaina Noon). It is gradually moving about 15 meters a year northward.
After a grinding and painting I put her first on water in Balatonboglár in 2017 May. I took her out right away and it sailed very well. I couldn't be any happier. 😊
History
This little boat was very successful at the time. About 4500 Leisure 17 have been built including both the KK (3000 units) and the newer SL (1500 units) versions.
Originally it was priced to match the price of the very successful car Mini.
It was used to cross the Atlantic by John Adams, who sailed an unmodified Leisure 17 from Germany to Cuba (where he was wrecked and arrested as a spy!), and a cruise from Turkey to the United Kingdom with an internal sail-drive engine fitted!
